Three hardened 440C stainless steel balls become an integral part of a carefully engineered magnetic system, creating smooth translation, controlled rotation, progressive spring-like magnetic feedback, natural self-centering, and an intentional click when you want it.
Unlike conventional magnetic fidgets that rely on fixed magnetic detents, Vector's interaction comes from the movement of the magnetic system itself. As the balls move away from their lowest-energy position, the magnetic field naturally seeks to restore equilibrium, creating a tactile response that feels remarkably spring-like despite containing no springs or mechanical detents.
Because the hardened balls roll instead of slide, friction is minimized, allowing the changing magnetic forces to be felt directly through your fingertips. Interaction
Translate: Glide the two halves across one another with progressive spring-like magnetic feedback that naturally returns to center.
Rotate: Twist the two halves through a controlled arc as progressive magnetic resistance builds, naturally returning the system to center.
Click: Apply gentle pressure at the edge to reveal a crisp, satisfying click before the magnetic system smoothly returns to center.
